What it is
Use whichever length fits.
In a sentence
obsQRity is a daily puzzle on a real QR code: color in as much of it as you can without breaking it.
In a paragraph
obsQRity (say it like "obscurity") is a daily puzzle on a real QR code. You color in the white areas one at a time, and every move damages the code a little. Go too far and it stops scanning. Your score is how many moves you made before that. It's free, it runs in your browser, and there's a new puzzle every day.
In more depth
obsQRity (say it like "obscurity") is a daily puzzle on a real QR code. You color in the white areas one at a time, and every move damages the code a little. Go too far and it stops scanning. Your score is how many moves you made before that.
QR codes are made to keep working when they get scratched or smudged, but only up to a point. The game lives right at that point. The code stores its data in groups of eight squares, which the game calls bricks, and each puzzle can only lose so many bricks. A small mark that touches three bricks costs more than a big one inside a single brick, so where you color matters as much as how much.
Every puzzle's best possible score is worked out ahead of time and checked against real QR code readers, so the target is exact. It's free, it runs in your browser, and there's a new puzzle every day, with bigger boards on Sundays.
